RED posted this on their website regarding their November 3rd announcement: On November 3rd at 6pm PST, details surrounding our third camera SCARLET will be announced on REDUSER.net and RED.com. Technical specifications, shipping, and purchasing information will be revealed, putting to rest all of the lingering speculation and anticipation.

RED also prepping for November 3rd

Canon already revealed their plans for a “historic global announcement” on November 3rd, 2011 in Hollywood. RED’s CEO Jim Jannard also wants to announce their RED Scarlet camera on the same date and he was not shy to mention to stir up the RedForum with his comments:
