500/4 from Sony? I’ve never even seen the 300/2.8 in the owner’s hand! Heck, even the 70-200 is an unique sighting!

They have been dragging that thing around for (over?) a year as well. Wonder if it will ever be produced.

  • No sign of a FF DSLR in sight :\

  • Sony FF DSLR will likely be at Photokina.

And for those of you with a RED camera and an extra $25000 layin around you can get Sonys new 4k projector thats coming out in a few weeks!

What is the use of a translucent mirror converter, when it could as well just be a piece of plastic to attach your lens to a NEX?

    • Kevin

Because it’s actually a bit more robust than that, starting with a built-in tripod mount, and finishing off with aperture control and a mechanical AF drive to support auto-exposure and fast phase-detection AF.

    • heidfirst

it gives you full phase-detect AF as well (which the body doesn’t have).
If you don’t want that get the LA-EA1
