Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 lens patent

Panasonic filed a patent 2012-226309 for a new 25mm f/1.4 Summilux lens for Micro Fourth Thirds cameras. For comparison, here is the lens design of the current Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH model:

Canon filed a patent 2012-226042 in Japan for 12-28mm f/2-3.2 and 14-28mm f/1.4-2.4 lenses that are probably designed for a high end compact camera with 1.33" sensor. The G1x has 1.5" sensor and the G15 has 0.59" sensor - maybe there will be a new model in between?
