The 2013 NAB show will take place in Las Vegas from April 6-11. Here are some of the new announcements for the show:
- Canon announced the development of a 35mm prime lens – their sixth lens in their cinema line
- Canon announced XA25 ($2,699) and XA20 ($2,199) camcorders that feature a 20x HD zoom lens, simultaneous MP4 and AVCHD recording, a 3.5-inch organic LED touch panel display, and wireless connectivity for digital content uploading or remote operation via tablet or smartphone. Their third camcorder, the VIXIA HF G30 ($1,699) includes a 20x zoom lens, newly designed HD CMOS Pro sensor, MP4 recording and wireless capabilities.
- In addition to their Compact Family of prime and zoom cinema lenses, Zeiss will also display the CZ.2 28-80/T2.9 lens for the first time at the NAB show in Las Vegas. The entire line of lenses for DSLR cameras will also be on display – a total of 13 lenses for F mount and 12 focal lengths for EF mount, including the new
T* 2,8/15 and Apo-Sonnar T* 2/135 lenses. Pictured bellow – 5-lens DSLR bundle:
- LockCircle announced prime lenses (based on Zeiss products) with electronic wireless aperture and wireless control up to 300 ft, available in 10 different focal lengths from 15mm to 135mm with a makro 50 and makro 100mm:
- Sony is expected to announce their new products (probably cam corders) on April 7th.
