look at that baby flash… awwww so cute

  • Rocco S.

Isn’t this more ‘normal’ looking camera than that Frankenstein NEX line?

At least you should feel like you’re holding a camera instead of a smartphone with a stuck-on hand grip.

    • Jacko

      Haha, spot on brother 🙂

This A3000 should sell very well indeed, and at that price – yeah baby, bring it on!

Nikon/Canon should take notice, just look at that cam body…beautiful design at the right price.

I feel next year’s EISA award coming, let’s hope it won’t disappoint in performance department 🙂

    • I will not be surprised if Nikon announces something similar by the end of the year.

      • So is this the rumor trend? Mirrorless SLRs? (Or, Single Lens Mirrorless? Single Lens Non-relfex?)

That would explain the lack of energy from Canon for the EOS-M.

        • Nikon said that they will concentrate on entry-level cameras. They already have the D3200 and D5200 and I cannot think of what else they can come out with. It’s a guess – I could be wrong.

  • Pablo Ricasso returned

Sony must have finally come to grips with the fact not everyone likes the “lens with a grip” type cameras with E-mount, but normal looking and more natural handling cam.

Bring it on Sony, and don’t stop there…higher spec’d E-mount A5000 should be come next 🙂

  • Huh. I have to agree with some of the comments here. I was deriding the fact that it had low-end specs, but I do like the look of it, especially the compactness. I’ll try to at least give it a test drive.

Either all the camera designers are getting better, or I’m getting old. I seem to like most of the new cameras’ looks the last few weeks: loved the E-P5 and GX7, not-perfect-but-positive with E-M1.

It looks as if they took a ‘normal’ DSLR and melted its body into this weird shape.

  • Puz

I like it, I like it, I want one and when is it available ?

Here goes the last traces of Minolta. Farewell old fella…

    • Zos Xavius

Really? FWIW Minolta had some of the more interesting designs before Sony bought them up. This is something they totally would have put out.

  • Marco –

A direct competitor for the samsung nx20. I don’t like the shape of these small dslr like cameras. Rangefimder look is so much cooler and more practical, for mirrorless.

    • ashwins

Before my F3 I had along with my D7000 Samsung NX10 and I really liked handling it! Looking forward to having this one in my hands.

  • Chris Miller

actually, i wouldn’t mind a nice e-mount slr style camera to go with my NEX. if they give it decent tracking autofocus (my kid doesn’t sit still) and make some fast zooms, i’d be quite interested

  • c.d.embrey

    More throw-it-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks marketing. Meh.

  • Bill

It’s like Kim Kardashian. Cheap, plastic and not that good looking.
