The Sony NEX brand is gone, new A-mount camera in 2014

During this official a7/a7r video introduction, a Sony representative mentioned that there will no longer be NEX branded cameras (starting at the 3:09 mark) - all future models will be under the α (Alpha) name just like the recently announced a7/a7r full frame mirrorless cameras:

Sony is still committed to the A-mount and a new mid to high-end A-mount camera body is currently under development and is expected to be released in 2014:

Fotosidan reports a that wo A-mount Sony cameras are going to be announced in 2014: one with 4K video and another full frame specifically designed for sports photography:

"At the press screening told Yoshiyuki Nogama to a video-oriented SLR with A-mount is going on. It will compete with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III will have Ultra HD (4K). We guess that it is a further development of the Sony A99. Sony boss also told that Sony later comes with a really fast camera for action photography."
