Canon filed a new patent in Japan for a 200-400mm f/4 and 280-560mm f/5.6 lenses with built-in teleconverter and image stabilization.

Olympus filed patents for Zuiko 4.7-23.5mm f/1.8-2.7 and 4.4-22mm f/1.4-2.4  lenses designed for 1/2.3" sized sensor.
Konica Minolta 150mm f:2.8 lens patent
Konica Minolta filed a patent for a 150mm f/2.8 lens designed for 4/3" sensor.

    Nice to see Canon patenting the lens ive been begging Nikon or nikon 3rd party support brand to make for years on this forum… a 300-600mm/5.6 or variable. Of course, Canon being completely useless to my particular camera. Anyway, 200-400 is still a bit short for full frame, and we have 1000 ways to get to 200 and 300 these days, so its only natural to start a specialty tele zoom at 300 with fixed aperture. Obviously there is still a place for 50, 150, etc with variables, but the best image quality will come with getting closer to the action using a 2x zoom. 300-600 is a good range, when you are in the nose bleed sections or cant get close enough for 200-400 to work without cropping.

    The Konica-Minolta 150/2.8 for 4/3 could be a future Leica branded lens…
