Seems like a good deal for that much capability.

Possible, the main problem remains here, 1/4000th only, no EVF. I await Sony’s new A-7000 or what ever the name will be. I want a camera with 1/8000, even an electronic shutter up to 1/16000 would be nice. 1/4000 is not fast enough, I am often stuck with the NEX-7 at 1/4000th.

A7000 should be interesting. Problem with sony is lenses. Samsung doesnt have a huge amount of lenses either. But what they do have is mostly fairly priced and very highly rated by reviewers.

Maximum shutter speed is 1/6000, not 1/4000, you are probably wrong about this. And still don´t know about EVF. Let´s wait and see.

I hate it that Samsung doesn’t sell its low-end cameras as body-only. I probably would have purchased one or two of them by now but I don’t want the bundled lenses. 🙁

The bundled collapsible lenses are perfect for a small mirrorless camera like this. If you want to use big third party lenses, go for the NX1 instead.

He probably means that he already is set for lenses. meaning he doesn’t want to purchase more lenses, just a newer body.

I want to select the lenses myself – not have Samsung decide for me. For instance, I want the 16mm, 30mm, and 45mm lenses. I have no decide to own any of Samsung’s zoom lenses and I will be really disappointed if the NX500 isn’t available by itself.

        • SH*T666

Yes, you are right if you only want fixed focal lenses, but I don´t think a body only option is going to be much cheaper, maybe only $100 and that zoom lens is far from useless. Anyway, agree with you: any ILC maker should also offer body only option.
