Here is the full list of new Panasonic cameras and lenses that are expected to be announced in Japan tomorrow, January 19th. Pictured above is the new DMC-CM10 - replacement of the already discounted CM1 model:

LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm f/4.0-6.3 ASPH POWER OIS lens

  • Shipping date: March 10, 2016
  • Suggested retail price in Japan ¥ 248,400 (tax included, around $2,000)

Panasonic DMC-TZ85 camera (equivalent to the DMC-TZ80 overseas model)

  • Shipping date: February 10, 2016
  • Estimated retail price in Japan: ¥ 53,000 (tax included)

Panasonic DMC-TX1 camera (equivalent to the DMC-TZ100 overseas model)

  • Shipping date: March 10, 2016
  • Estimated retail price in Japan: ¥ 85,000 (tax included)

Panasonic DMC-CM10 camera/smartphone (Android5.0 installed)

  • Shipping date: February 25, 2016
  • Estimated retail price in Japan: ¥ 97,000 (tax included)

    did anyone buy that phone camera? I remember they announced it as an underpowered device for $900 and almost a year later it started shipping.

  • I wonder if we will see something new on the G7. Here in Sweden they literally through them after people. You can now buy a G7 body for 400 EUR.

    The idea is good but as long as you can find very decent smartphones with a pretty nice camera under $250, pricing is the problem here. I´d buy the new model only under $500 and the old model for $200 or less.
