In a recent interview with Luminous Landscape, Ove Bengtsson from Hasselblad went into details explaining the not-yet-released Hasselblad X1D medium format mirrorless camera (the shipping date is now listed as December 1st). Several of settings and features mentioned in the 25 minutes long video are expected to be released in the upcoming months with multiple firmware updates. Another interesting bit of information: Hasselblad "is considering" a macro XCD lens for 2017 (watch at the 22:40 mark). Currently Hasselblad is offering three XCD lenses.

I applaud Hasselblad for quickly building a nice lens lineup but I think they should really have put more effort into getting the firmware issues sorted.

Not quite the same, sure, but a simple extension ring might also be helpful. Just saying…
