New Yongnuo 50mm f/1.4 lens coming next?

A reader sent me the above pictures of what appears to be a new Yongnuo 50mm f/1.4 lens. The Chinese company Yongnuo already has several full frame prime DSLR lenses for Nikon and Canon mount, including a 50mm f/1.8 and two upcoming, not-yet-announced 85mm f/1.8 and 100mm f/2 lenses.

Yongnuo lenses are also available for sale at B&H.

I would like to see some Pentax versions too!

For that Pentax will need to have way more than current 5% market share … say 15% … not going to happen any time soon …

Last time this happened with the 1.8 a new Canon version popped up after. I wonder if Canon sells them a licencse for the old gear when they have a new one ready to bring out?

I think they just wait for the patent to expire.

How about a clone of the new Canon 35mm f/1.4 for Nikon users?

maybe down the line it will happen. im still waiting to see what the 100 f/2 can do. this will be their 2nd wave of lenses and I hope theyve learned some things to better them. if it can perform nicely at 2.8 like 105 afd previous gen then im in. it doesnt need to be super sharp to the edges either. for portraits.

    This is getting hilarious.

Hmm… what if they start making cameras…

    • Jeffry De Meyer

they would have 12~20 megapixels depending on how many work and the sensor will sit a bit tilted

        How many what?
You mean tilted as Nikon D800 AF sensor?
