The rumored Pentax KP DSLR camera and D-BG7 battery grip could be announced as early as this week

Some additional information on the upcoming Pentax KP DSLR camera that is rumored to have a “special” battery grip:

  • The official announcement could be as early as this week
  • The new KP will be positioned in the K-5/K-3 product line (not an entry-level model such as the K-S2 or K-70)
  • The battery grip model number is D-BG7
  • A silver version of the camera could be announced as well
