Fantastic, Sigma is pushing the bounds with every new lens release.

Pushing the boundaries on optics but lagging behind in focus consistency. If they ever figure that out, I may be a sigma buyer again.

Maybe the problem is not the lens, but your camera / skills? With which particular lens do you have troubles ?

Not my bodies (D810, 750 & 500) or my skills. I have discussed Sigma and their inability to control quality and provide consistent focus on this form many times. I had 4 Art lenses and all of them have focus problems. 2 of them (35mm & 50mm) were sent back to Sigma for repair because the focusing was all over the map. I spent hours with the dock trying to calibrate for distance and in the end, I said “screw this” and sent them back. I read on DxO on how great the optics are – which is great – but stellar optics with inconsistent focusing = expensive paper weight. I had 2 X 85 art that I returned because they had such a severe front focus that I could not even calibrate them to be adequately sharp.

I hope that Sigma heeds the complaints and negative reviews and puts more effort into the focusing problems reported by so many people.

So i still hope the 14 mm F1:8 has a price tag of 1199 or 1299 would be nice 1099 but i don´t think so 1399 is where they are going for
