Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 FE lens rumored to be announced tomorrow


Voigtlander is rumored to launch their new 35mm f/1.4 FE lens for Sony E-mount tomorrow (December 19th). The lens was initially supposed to be announced at the 2018 CP+ show (via Nokishita).

The new Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 FE lens is a re-design of the M-mount version ($599.99) and is optimized for full-frame E-mount cameras.

During the 2017 CP+ show Cosina announced the development of three new full frame Voigtlander lenses for Sony E-mount. The 40mm f/1.2 and 65mm f/2 are already available in stores.

The new Voigtlander FE lenses will have:

  • EXIF transmission to camera body
  • Support for five-axis image stabilization
  • Manual focus
  • 1/3 step aperture selection
