Major Canon mirrorless camera announcement coming soon?

Canon is rumored to have sent invitations to dealers for major mirrorless presentation next month ahead of the CP+ show. Canon also recently asked select professionals what they want in a mirrorless camera. Another rumor is that the next Canon mirrorless camera could have 4K video. In a recent Nikkei interview, Canon's Chairman & CEO Fujio Mitarai admitted that Canon is lagging behind other companies in terms of cutting-edge technology:

"Our primary management goal this year is to raise our antennas high toward cutting-edge technology. It is on this point where we lag behind other companies. We will open up a research and development center in the U.S.'s Silicon Valley, where we will actively adopt new technology."

The Canon mirrorless camera announcement timing is interesting because Nikon is also rumored to announce their new mirrorless camera soon.
