Fact or fiction: Sony has a new 41MP 8K Micro Four Thirds sensor

There is a lot of fake information and clickbait on the Internet today. Here is an example: Sony has a new 41MP 8K Micro Four Thirds sensor. The speculations go even further and suggest that this will be the sensor of choice for the next Panasonic GH6 mirrorless camera. My personal opinion is: 100% fake. What do you think?

Update (September 27th): some people got excited because Sony has a new 41MP Micro Four Thirds sensor listed on their website. What many failed to notice is that the new sensor is clearly labeled as "Application: Surveillance, FA cameras, Industrial cameras". Yes, that sensor is for security cameras and not for photography. There is also no mentioning or any indications that Panasonic GH6 will have this sensor or a 41MP sensor altogether. So until proven otherwise, my opinion is still: 100% fake.
