Leica SL2 camera officially announced

The Leica SL2 camera is now officially announced with a new 47MP sensor, IBIS, Maestro III processor, 5.76MP OLED EVF, improved ergonomics and weather sealing. The Leica SL2 will be available on November 21st at a list price of $5995. Pre-orders are now open at AdoramaB&H and Park Camera (UK). The basic SL2 specifications are:

  • 47MP CMOS sensor offering twice the resolution
  • Speedy Maestro III processor for up to 20 fps shooting
  • 5-axis in-body image stabilization
  • Full Frame Cine 4k (60 fps) video recording
  • Top-of-the-line 5.76MP OLED Electronic Viewfinder
  • Larger and more detailed 3.2” touchscreen
  • Updated Wi-Fi with bluetooth
  • Dual UHS-II SD card slots
  • USB 3.1 Type-C port for tethering and power
  • IP54 weather-sealed full metal body made from aluminum and magnesium
  • Streamlined menu interface and button layout
