The latest BCN Ranking report from Japan: May mirrorless sales down over 60% compared to last year


The latest BCN ranking data for the month of May has been released. BCNR collects data from about 40% of Japanese electronics and online stores. Here is the recap:

  • Sales of mirrorless interchangeable-lens digital cameras in May were down 62% compared to last year
  • Sales breakdown: Canon (25.8%), Sony (39.2%), and Olympus (39.0%) compared to last year
  • Fuji's sales decrease by 8.2%% compared to last year

BCN Ranking is a POS database that collects and aggregates daily sales data from around 40% of all major consumer electronics retailers and online stores in Japan.
