Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5.0-6.3 IS lens delayed because of many pre-orders (wink wink)


Adding the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5.0-6.3 IS lens to my collection of photo gear that has “greatly exceeded expectations” and got so many pre-orders that was of course delayed. If one is to believe all those press releases, the photo industry must be doing great and I wonder why Olympus is selling their camera business.

Olympus financial losses over the years (thanks Eamon!)

Adorama and B&H still show a shipping date of September 8th, 2020.

Here is the translation of the Olympus press release for the believers:
