Sony teases a new camera on January 26


Sony started a new teaser campaign “The one never seen" today for an upcoming Alpha camera on January 26:

As usual, reliable specifications on the upcoming model are hard to come by, but CanonRumors speculates that Sony is going to announced its first 8K mirrorless flagship camera with 50MP sensor, 8K30p and a price tag of around $5,000. Stay tuned for more details

The second camera could be the Sony a7 IV and here are the rumored specifications:

  • Slight bigger and more comfortable body than A7III
  • 3.68M dot EVF
  • 1.44M dot LCD
  • Newly developed 30 MP sensor
  • 4K 60p with no overheating
  • Dual SD and CFexpress Type A card slots
  • New menu system from A7S3
  • 5-axis in-body stabilization with Steady shot active mode
  • Price 2.499$
