Fujifilm Japan issued a statement/apology about potential Fujifilm X-T5 camera shortages (in the US the camera is in stock at Adorama, Amazon, and B&H):

Notice and apology regarding the supply of the mirrorless digital camera “FUJIFILM X-T5”

Regarding the mirrorless digital camera “FUJIFILM X-T5”, we have received orders that have greatly exceeded our expectations, and it will take time to deliver the product. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers.
