Skylum released Luminar Neo version 1.16.0 with GenSwap AI

Skylum released Luminar Neo version 1.16 with the new GenSwap AI feature (see all new AI features):

Luminar Neo 1.16.0: create new worlds with GenSwap

Experience another hugely exciting generative AI technology! The Luminar Neo 1.16.0 update gives you the opportunity to explore a groundbreaking, new tool and other innovative improvements.

Exclusively for Luminar Neo Subscribers and the 2023-24 Creative Journey Pass owners:

GenSwap is now available in Luminar Neo! With its help, you can effortlessly replace specific elements in your photos — such as the sky, foreground or background — with AI-generated visuals that seamlessly integrate with the rest of your image. Simply input a prompt and watch the magic happen! Say goodbye to dull and unimpressive elements in your photos and welcome a world of infinite possibilities.

Enjoy a smoother performance for the drawing mask in GenErase and GenSwap, and more accurate GenErase results overall. We’re committed to improving our generative AI features with each update, and this version is not an exception!

All Luminar Neo owners:

Now when you open the radial mask tool and click on your photo, you’ll get the mask to fill the inner circle — instead of the outer — for a more convenient workflow. Remember that you can still invert the fill by clicking the Invert button.

You’ll also notice more accurate contours and better quality on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3) computers, since we’ve improved our internal AI models for these devices.

Moreover, there are other small improvements under the hood of Luminar Neo to discover — more accurate reading of information about lenses, as well as better Luminar Neo performance when it’s located in a folder named with non-Latin characters.

Bug fixes (macOS):

  • Accurately preview your raw photos after syncing adjustments
  • Open Samsung NX500 images as raw photos and edit them smoothly
  • Move images in GenErase with quick response from Luminar Neo
  • Play with the scale of your images in GenErase without seeing previously erased images appear underneath
  • Add the super-selected images to GenErase accurately
  • Smoothly zoom in on images in GenErase
  • Apply GenErase to rotated images without affecting the aspect ratio

Bug fixes (Windows):

  • Open Samsung NX500 images as raw photos and edit them smoothly
