DxO PureRAW 4 released

In addition to the new PureRaw 4, DxO also released PureRAW version 4 with updated AI tools, new features, and workflow enhancements (available also on Amazon):

  • Noise reduction equivalent to over ISO 2.5 stops
  • Extra image sharpness and detail, even from older cameras
  • DxO Optics Modules — industry-leading lens profiles
  • Seamless integration with the Adobe Lightroom Classic plugin
  • Smart workflow with real-time previews, widget, and batch processing and renaming

What’s new in DxO PureRAW 4.0:

DeepPRIME XD2:
DeepPRIME XD2 surpasses DeepPRIME XD, leveraging advanced AI and deep learning for superior image demosaicing and denoising processing. This improved version delivers more exceptional results, especially at higher ISO, extracting finer details while maintaining high-quality noise reduction and lowering texture artifacts. Note: currently DeepPRIME XD2 only supports Bayer images; X-Trans RAW files are not compatible. PureRAW will revert to DeepPRIME XD for these specific RAW files.

Advanced controls for Denoising:
When selecting HQ, PRIME, DeepPRIME, or DeepPRIME XD2, users can now access correction settings through the "Advanced" subsection of the palette. These controls will give more control and help finetune the resulting image by setting the denoising strength, the level of details retrieved from the RAW data, and other specific aspects for each of the processing methods.

Processing Preview:
Explore the impact of corrections on your images with our new “Process with Preview” feature. Whether you are working in standalone mode or using PureRAW as a Lightroom plugin, you can access a dedicated viewer and see the result of your adjustments directly before processing your images. Set any setting directly within the palettes and preview the result in the main window, giving you the utmost level of control.

Batch renaming:
Effortlessly organize and customize your processed images with PureRAW 4's new batch renaming feature. Choose from a selection of predefined renaming presets for quick and convenient naming or compose your own using free text and available tokens. Apply your chosen renaming scheme to all photos in the processing batch, streamlining your workflow and ensuring consistency in file names.

Updated Processing Settings Window:
PureRAW 4 introduces an updated processing window design, offering a sleek and intuitive interface. Experience unparalleled control and precision in refining your images before final processing.

Improved Lens softness:
Our exclusive Lens Softness Compensation technology benefits from the latest algorithmic improvements, resulting in crisper images than before, with fewer ringing effects in highly contrasted details.

Smart Lighting option for Jpeg output:
The JPEG output format now includes the option to enable or disable the Smart Lighting technology, which optimizes the dynamic range by automatically opening up the shadows and recovering highlights. The strength of this effect is customizable according to the user’s preferences.

Daemon instance:
By activating a daemon instance of PureRAW in your system tray, you can conveniently open the application whenever an SD card or external volume is plugged in and detected. Additionally, you can easily track the progress of your processing or directly access the Standalone application.
