Sony FX5 camera officially delayed, no official release date given

I already reported that the Sony FX5 orders have far exceeded expectations, and now Sony has officially delayed the release date of the FX5 (pre-orders: B&H Photo | WEX Photo | Foto Erhardt):

“Regarding the professional camcorder FX5, which was announced as having a release date of August 21, 2026, in the press release on July 22, 2026, Wednesday, we regret to inform you that the release will be postponed due to production issues. In addition, the release of related accessories DVF-EL1, XLR-H2, and VMC-BNCU1 will also be postponed. We will inform you of the new release dates as soon as they are confirmed. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this last-minute announcement.” (source)
