Other cameras to be announced at PMA@CES 2012

Here are some more leaked cameras that are going to be announced at PMA show next week: Samsung: six new cameras WB850F ($349) with 16MP BSI CMOS sensor, 21x optical zoom, 3-inch AMOLED screen, 1080/30p FullHD video and GPS. Kodak preparing for bankruptcy, stock could be delisted from NYSE

The Wall Street Journal reported that Kodak “is preparing to seek bankruptcy protection in the coming weeks”. Kodak stock is currently bellow $1 and could be delisted from the NYSE:

Kodak sold its image sensor business

The reason nobody heard about the new sensors from Kodak (KAI-16070 has 16MP, 35mm optical format, 7.4um pixel; KAI-16050 is APS-H optical format 16MP and 5.5um pixel) is probably because Kodak sold its image sensor business to Platinum Equity for an undisclosed amount. Leica M9 and many other point and shoot cameras are using Kodak sensors.
