The latest patents applications from Tamron, Sigma, Panasonic, Fuji and Canon

The most interesting new patent is for a Tamron 115mm f/1.4 VC full frame DSLR lens – I already covered it on NikonRumors. Sigma 14mm f/3.5 or f/4 lens patent for APS-C mirrorless cameras with zero distortion. Panasonic has a patent for a 24-240mm f/3.6-6.5 MFT lens. Fujifilm filed an unusual patent for a 100mm f/2 […]

Panasonic GH3 camera listed as discontinued

The Panasonic GH3 camera is now listed as discontinued, While the GH4 model is still available, a new Panasonic GH5 version is expected to be announced at Photokina in September. The GH3 was announced back in September, 2012.

Panasonic to reduce their product lines to G, GX and GH

If you are confused with the Panasonic camera naming conventions, you are probably not the only one: Panasonic is going to change all of that – the company is planning to kill the GM and GF lines and concentrate on the G, GX and GH lines by grouping future releases by “form factor“:
