
The Sony A-mount has been dead for a long time and now Sony Japan finally removed all A-mount lenses from their websites and marked them as discontinued – here is a report from SonyAddict:

Sony announced the development of the world’s first stacked CMOS image sensor technology with 2-layer transistor pixel that widens the dynamic range and reduces noise by approximately doubling saturation signal level.
