Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L II, Voigtländer 28mm f/2.8 Color Skopar SLII lenses starting to ship this month

The Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L II lens ($2,299.00) that was announced in February 2012 will start shipping on September 13th, 2012 in the US. The Voigtländer 28mm f/2.8 Color Skopar SLII N Aspherical lens will start shipping on September 25th, 2012 in Japan (via digicame-info).

Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 90mm f/3.5 SL II lens is now discontinued

Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 90mm f/3.5 SL II lens for DSLR cameras ($549) is now listed as discontinued on Cosina Japan website. I guess this lens did not sell that well because it was announced “just” two years ago. Curious to see if Voigtländer will announce a replacement at Photokina.

Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm f/0.95 Aspherical lens for Micro Four Thirds

Voigtlander is supposed to announce a new Nokton 17.5mm f/0.95 lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras according to this blog post. Shipping date is listed as May, the approximate price is $1100. Voigtlander already has a 25mm f/0.95 Nokton lens for Micro 4/3 mount.

Voigtlander SL II Heliar Classic 1,8/75 and Nokton 1,2/35mm ASPH II lenses announced

Voigtlander announced two new lenses today. The Voigtlander Nokton 1,2/35mm (Leica M-mount) was already reported here last week (the actual aperture is f/1.2 instead of the rumored f/1.1). The second lens (pictured above) is a new Voigtländer SL II Heliar Classic 1,8/75mm version for Canon and Nikon:

Two new Voigtlander lenses (35mm f/1.1 and 50mm f/1.4)

Recently Voigtlander discontinued their Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical lens and the rumor is that a new 35mm f/1.1 version will be added to their current Color-Skopar f/2.5 PII and the Nokton Classic f/1.4 models. A second 50mm f/1.4 lens is also in development to compliment the Nokton f/1.1

The first Voigtländer lens for MicroFourThirds: Nokton 25mm f/0.95

Voigtländer announced the first lens for MicroFourThirds – the new Nokton 25mm f/0.95 priced at $1,199.00: The lens is manual focus only and is expected to hit the stores in October/November. Cosina (Voigtländer) officially joins Micro Four Thirds System Standard Group.
