      Agree 100%
High quality lenses at reasonable prices are for suckers!

I think you misspelled Meyer Gorlitz.

Well this sucker just collected his shiny new Macro-Apo-Lanthar 65mm lens today, and I’m pleased as clam.

You gotta post pics, very curious of the edges of the bokeh at different apertures since the prototype at Photokina awhile back wasn’t really shown well in video reviews. And the vignetting along with temp.

      • Kevin Chen

Okay I’ll post pics soon, but I haven’t seen any vignette issues at the corners or edge of frame. Bokeh while not quite in the class of their old Macro Apo-Lanthar 125mm (I’ve two of those…) is as good as any modern lens made today. Oh and it’s razor sharp at f/2.0 for sure.

Sharpness for sure it would do well given the optical formula, but glad to hear the vignette is well under control. The bokeh bit uuuhh…. really hope it’s too my liking. I usually have the Zeiss 85mm 1.4 ZF.2, Batis 1.8. 135mm APO-Sonnar ZF.2 lenses as like a “benchmark” in bokeh. Hope it does well, I do plan on buying one in about 3-4 weeks.
