The Canon PowerShot G3 X premium compact camera is now officially announced with the premium price of $999.99 (pre-orders are open at B&H and Adorama). The G3 X was initially introduced during the 2015 CP+ show. Here is the technical specifications of the camera:

  • Canon DIGIC 6 Image Processor
  • 24-600mm equivalent, f/2.8-5.6 25x Optical Power Zoom Lens
  • Improved Five-Axis Intelligent IS

  • Multi-Angle, 3.2-inch 1.62-million dot capacitive touch panel LCD screen
  • 1080p Full HD video (24p, 30p, 60p), Live HDMI output

Ricoh officially announced the previously rumored Ricoh GR II camera with 16MP, Wi-Fi, NFC, fast auto focus, wireless flash functionality, full 1080p HD video for a price of $799.95 (available for pre-order at B&H, Amazon and Adorama). The previous version currently sells for $579. Shipping will start in July.
