This is the Ricoh GR Digital 4 digital camera

The new Ricoh GRD IV looks almost identical to the GRD III

On September 15th Ricoh will announce the 4th version of their GR Digital compact camera. The current Ricoh GR Digital III model ($499) was announced back in July, 2009.

Here are some of the Ricoh GR Digital 4 specs:

  • 10MP 1/1.7-in. CCD sensor
  • 3in CLD display with 1.2 million dots
  • ND filter
  • Lens construction: 8 elements in 6 groups
  • Lens: 28mm equivalent
  • Aperture: f/1.9 – f/9
  • Shutter speed: 180 – 1/2000 sec.
  • Image sensor shift-type image stabilization function
  • 1.5 fps
  • Movie modes: 640×480, 320×240 (AVI)

Samsung NX20 to be announced at CES 2012 (January)

The Samsung NX20 will be an advanced upgrade of NX10/11 model that will have a new design and improved performance. The new NX model will have an EVF. The camera will be announced at CES 2012 which will take place in Las Vegas from January 10-13, 2012. The 16-80mm zoom lens will also be presented and will probably be the NX20 kit lens.

Ritz Camera stores now selling Canon cameras again, RitzCamera.com files for Chapter 11

Few days ago Ritz Camera send out a corporate wide email that they are selling again Canon cameras in their brick and mortar stores. Ritz stopped selling Canon cameras few years ago when there were going through their restructuring after they filed for bankruptcy.

At the same time Ritz Interactive, the parent company of the e-commerce websites RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com and CameraWorld.com filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
