Stay tuned for more details!
The above video was created by Which (UK) and was released before the official camera announcement. The screenshots are from the video.
This is the information I just received:
“Coming soon is another Micro Four Thirds competitor, in the shape of a fixed-lens Canon Pro2 with a relatively large 2.5x crop factor sensor (~13.8×10.4mm). The lens is 5x zoom 10.4-52mm equivalent to 26-130mm f2.8-4 IS L lens. The form factor is similar to the Pro1 – or the G1/GH1 if you like – with a grip, articulated screen and a 800×600 electronic viewfinder. The sensor is a CMOS made by Canon capable of high fps and 1080 video like that of the SX1-IS.”
This banner showed up online over the weekend. My take? This rumor is busted! The banner looks horrible and I don’t think is real:
Update #3: the release date matches also with the tip I received a month ago.
Update #2: the exact translation is “Scheduled for Tuesday, November 10 (domestic market) Ricoh announces a new digital camera”.
Update: the release could be on November 11th, depending on your time zone. Two different sources so far – this is the real deal folks! I have great expectations for that camera and I have the feeling that it will be better than everything else on the market today.
This screenshot was taken from business-i.jp – not sure what the exact translation is. Any help from a native speaker?

This rumor is brought to you by Fotosidan (Google translation) – the translation as aways is sketchy, but it seems that Ricoh has sent out event invitations for this Tuesday, November 10th:
“… a unique new compact camera in the premium class. Ricoh is a long time in development the forefront of compact cameras with very high quality. This new camera is no exception, it has both functions and properties that make it unique in the market. “
The rumor is that two lenses will be launched with Ricoh’s mirrorless, interchangeable lenses camera. Here are the details:

There are already rumors online for a new Sony camera being released on November 18, 2009. The camera is expected to be a competition of the Panasonic GH1 and should have the new Exmor R sensor and full HD video recording. Sony mirrorless camera has been rumored for a while – see this post and this report.
A lot of negative feedback on the Olympus E-P2 release for what I could see on the Internets. Here are the latest updates:
