Samyan to release five new lenses on September 8th

In addition to all other announcements this week, Samyang is also teasing 5 new lenses to be introduced on September 8th (see the enhanced image above).

Samyang previously reported that they will refresh some of their lenses with 2nd generation AF versions:

“To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Samyang Optics, Samyang Optics is introducing second-generation AF lenses with upgraded performance based on the technology it has accumulated over the years. Starting with the first renewal product, the AF 50mm F1.4 FE II, the AF 35mm F1.4 FE II, and this time the AF 85mm F1.4 FE II second-generation lens will be announced. The AF 85mm F1.4 FE II is the second edition of the AF 85mm F1.4 FE, and it is one of the lenses that has been loved by many people since Samyang released its first Autofocus lens in 2016.”

More leaked pictures of the Panasonic Lumix 18mm f/1.8 lens for L-mount

In November last year, I already posted the first leaked picture of the upcoming Panasonic Lumix 18mm f/1.8 lens for L-mount. The new lens will be officially announced in the next few days and is expected to start shipping on October 22nd, 2022.


Panasonic will soon have a full line of five fast (f/1.8) prime lenses for L-mount – from B&H Photo: “The new S 35mm f/1.8 joins Panasonic’s family of f/1.8 aperture primes including the 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm (with an 18mm f/1.8 arriving in the future).”
