Sigma CEO: the new Sigma 60MP three-layer X3 1:1:1 Foveon sensor prototype is currently under development and will be available later this year

In a recent interview, Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki confirmed that the new Sigma 60MP three-layer X3 1:1:1 Foveon sensor prototype is currently under development and will be available later this year. The official announcement is expected at the CP+ show in Japan next year (2023).

Samyang has a new teaser for a 2nd generation lens that will be announced on July 28.

For their 50th anniversary, Samyang is releasing a number of second-generation updates to some of their existing AF lenses. Some of the characteristics of the new second-generation lenses are: different color tones, modern design, improved AF performance, custom buttons, and weather-ceiling designs.
