More leaked pictures of the Panasonic Lumix 18mm f/1.8 lens for L-mount


In November last year, I already posted the first leaked picture of the upcoming Panasonic Lumix 18mm f/1.8 lens for L-mount. The new lens will be officially announced in the next few days and is expected to start shipping on October 22nd, 2022.


Panasonic will soon have a full line of five fast (f/1.8) prime lenses for L-mount – from B&H Photo: “The new S 35mm f/1.8 joins Panasonic’s family of f/1.8 aperture primes including the 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm (with an 18mm f/1.8 arriving in the future).

Hasselblad to announce three new XCD lenses with the X2D 100C medium format camera

As previously reported, in addition to the X2D 100C medium format camera, Hasselblad will also announce three new XCD lenses tomorrow. One of the new lenses will be the already leaked Hasselblad XCD 38mm f/2.5. Here is the latest teaser with the new lenses:

Canon Germany on third-party Viltrox lenses: “Canon believes that these products infringe their patent and design rights and has therefore requested the company to stop all activities that infringe Canon’s intellectual property rights”


Canon never released any official statements on the report that Viltrox was forced to stop selling RF-mount mirrorless lenses until today. The German site Photografix Magazin published the first official statement where Canon Germany indicated that third-party lenses infringe on their patent and design rights. Here is the full text:
