Just announced: new Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical VM lens for Leica M-mount


Voigtlander announced a new Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical VM lens for Leica M-mount. The price in Japan is ¥150,000 (without tax) or around $1,300. The US price is not yet announced but the Sony version of this lens is priced at $1,099. Additional information is available here.

  • +/- 11mm shift range
  • Available in Nikon F and Z mounts, as well as EF, FE, RF and L mounts

I have been reporting on the new Laowa lenses for M-mount for a while and I just received information that all three lenses will be available also for Nikon Z, Sony E, Leica M, and L mounts:

  • Laowa 9mm f/5.6
  • Laowa 11mm f/4.5
  • Laowa 14mm f/4

Olympus E-M1 Mark III MFT mirrorless camera rumors


Olympus is rumored to announce a new E-M1 Mark III MFT mirrorless camera (to replace the current E-M1 Mark II model) in mid-February, right before the CP+ show in Japan. The new Olympus E-M1 III is rumored to be similar to the E-M1X but without the built-in battery grip. The E-M1 III is also rumored to have the same battery as the E-M1 II and a new processor. Stay tuned for the detailed specifications and leaked pictures, which I expect to get soon from my source.

Update: the E-M1 III is rumored to have the same 20MP sensor from the E-M1X. Official announcement expected on or around February 12th.

Now available: Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye lens for Sony E, Fuji X, and Canon EF-M mounts


Two weeks ago I reported that the Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye lens will be available also for Sony E, Fuji X, and Canon EF-M mounts. The new lenses are already listed on Laowa’s website and are available for purchase (more information can be found here).
