Sony RX100 VII camera officially announced with a9 level speed performance (there is no new RX100 V model)

The Sony RX100 VII camera is now officially announced as Nokishita already predicted yesterday (there is no new RX10 V model of course). The US price is $1,198 (pre-orders will open soon). Here are the basic specifications:

Sony RX100 VII camera to be announced next with “AF performance equivalent to the Sony α9”

A new Sony RX camera was supposed to be already announced multiple times according to sketchy online sources. Nokishita finally reported some reliable info on what’s next from Sony – a new RX100 VII (not a new Rx1 or RX10 as already reported online). Here are the rumored Sony RX100 VII specs:

Blackout-free continuous shooting at up to about 20 fps with AF performance equivalent to the Sony α9
1.0″ stacked CMOS sensor
The world’s fastest AF for a camera with 1″ sensor
BIONZ X
24-200mm f/2.8-4.5 lens
Tiltable touchscreen (180 degrees up and 90 degrees down)

Price: £1,199 (around $1,500)
