Adobe sent emails to customers warning them about potential legal actions for using older versions of Creative Cloud apps

Adobe is in the news again for a third week in a row (after “testing” $20 per month Adobe Photography Plan and no longer offering older versions of Photoshop and Lightroom): the company now sent emails to customers warning them about potential legal actions for using older versions of Creative Cloud apps:

“We have recently discountinued certian older versions of Creative Cloud applications and as a result, under the terms of agreement, you are no longer licensed to use them. […]

Please be aware that should you continue to use the discontinued version(s), you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties”

Olympus yearly financial results are out: Imaging Business lost $157 million, revenue down 19%

Olympus published its latest financial results for the fiscal year ended on March 31st, 2019. Here are the details for the Imaging Business:

  • revenue: – 19%
  • mirrorless: -23%
  • compacts: -18%
  • other (?): +14%
  • operating loss: ¥17.1 billion (around $157 million)
