The new 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS sensor inside the new Fuji X-T3 camera is made by Sony and not by Samsung as some websites have wrongly reported (see this post). This information is coming from Theo Georgiades, Managing Director of Fujifilm UK in a recent interview with PGN:

The new Zeiss Batis 40mm f/2 CF FE lens is now available for pre-order – the US price is $1,299. In the UK the price is £1,129.

The Olympus press conference at Photokina was sad to watch. The company had nothing to announce or show, not even a prototype or an updated roadmap. After Panasonic joined the new L-alliance together with Leica and Sigma, Olympus released a press release emphasizing their commitment to the Micro Four Thirds format (the press release is available at the bottom of this post).
The rumor is that Olympus was invited to join the L-alliance in January, but they decided to stay out.
Olympus may soon announce a new special edition camera or lens for their Micro Four Thirds 10 years anniversary (2008-2018). A major Olympus announcement is expected in 2019 for the company’s 100 year anniversary (October 12th, 1919).

The previously rumored Fuji Instax Square SQ20 hybrid instant camera is now officially announced. The full press release can be found here. US pricing is not yet available.

Reflex (the company behind the film SLR camera Kickstarter project) is now coming up with three new lenses: 40mm f/1.8, 75mm f/1.8 and 24mm f/1.8 that will be available in Nikon Z, Canon RF and Leica/Lumix L mount or to Fuji X and Micro 4/3 via adaptors with the EF version. The official Kickstarter launch is expected in January 2019. The price will be under $400:
