US pricing for the Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE lens announced

Leaked pictures of the upcoming Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/1.2 PRO and 45mm f/1.2 PRO lenses

I already reported on the two upcoming Olympus lenses: M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/1.2 PRO and 45mm f/1.2 PRO – both were already registered with various government agencies. I expect the official announcement to be for the PhotoPlus show that will take place next week in NYC.

Olympus already has one fast PRO lens (25mm f/1.2). Olympus is also rumored to announce a new camera.

Irix to announce a “new product” at the 2017 PhotoPlus show next week and it will not be a lens

Irix will be attending the 2017 PhotoPlus Expo in New York City next week (from October 26th until October 28th) and they will announce a “new product” that “will not be a lens“. Here is a porion of the company’s press release:

TH Swiss is preparing a surprise for its fans and future customers. The company is planning to release a new product. It is still a mystery and it will be presented during the exposition, but what we can tell you is that this new Irix product will not be a lens this time.

Updates on the Yashica digiFilm camera project

After multiple comments online questioning the specs and validity of the Yashica digiFilm project (currently at $1,079,761 raised), a new update was posted on Kickstarter together with some sample photos and videos showing a prototype camera:

We have just uploaded 4 videos of our team taking pictures with the Y35 working prototype and those sample pictures taken from it. Please rest assured we do have a prototype that is working!
For the last couple of days, the whole YASHICA team has been spending all extra effort during the weekends to make sure we work out the best solution in delivering our first stretch goal: F2. As well as exploring the possibility of adding a larger sensor or metal body which most backers are excited about. This may result in oversight and delayed in responding your comments, we are really sorry about this and will commit being as responsive as we can in the future, but we kindly ask for your patience if sometime we can’t answer your question immediately.
