Canon EOS 70D now shipping

The Canon EOS 70D is currently shipping from Adorama and is in stock at several eBay retailers. Amazon lists the release date as August 26th, 2013. The camera was officially announced in early July.

Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera officially announced

Canon officially announced the EOS 70D DSLR camera ($1199 for body only, $1349 for 18-55mm kit and $1549 for 18-135mm kit). There is also a new BG-E14 battery grip ($199.95). Canon announcement on March 22 (EOS 70D?)

Canon will have a new product announcement on March 22, 2013. Most likely they will introduce the rumored replacement for the Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera (probably called EOS 70D). The 60D model was introduced in August, 2010.
