After the Stellar and Lunar massive price drops, it is now time to “fire sale” the Hasselblad HV camera – the 24-70mm kit version is currently $8,000 off! The just announced Lusso is next to get a huge price drop.
Today several websites confirmed what I already reported back in May: the Italian design center in Treviso, that Hasselblad opened in 2012, has been closed. Hasselblad is probably/hopefully abandoning the idea of creating high-end re-batched Sony cameras like the Lunar, Stellar, Solar and HV models. There is still no official statement from the company.
The rumors I reported last month were true – Hasselblad just announced their new “elite” HV camera priced at €8,500 / $11,500. The new camera has a 24.3MP full-frame sensor and comes with a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 2,8/24-70 ZA lens ($1,998).
