What else is new?

Adobe Creative Cloud is now live, here are the different pricing options: Canon filed a patent application in Japan for automatic tracking of celestial objects by shifting the sensor. Canon recently announced the EOS 60Da DSLR camera tailored for astronomy photography. Canon also filed a patent that will allow photographers to obscure some of the embedded EXIF data for privacy.

Panasonic files a patent for in-camera image stabilization

Panasonic has a pending patent in Japan for in-camera image stabilization system. This solution will also prove image stabilization for third party lenses.

Olympus filed patent for 14mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm and 22mm f/2.8 pancake lenses

 Olympus filed a patent 201268448 in Japan for a whole series of f/2.8 pancake lenses: 14mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm and 22mm. I don’t think Olympus will ever announce all of those products – manufacturers often file patents for multiple lens versions/calculations and release only one model at the end.
