Sony a33 camera is listed as discontinued on Sony's website in Japan. The camera was announced back in August 2010. It seems that the latest Sony cameras have a life cycle of less than 12 months. The Sony NEX 3 mirrorless camera was also listed as discontinued back in February, 2011 (announced in May, 2010).

    Does it have to do with differentiation between products being not big enough? So now we can expect A77 and NEX7 to be released?

      supposedly the A35 was due to be announced on April 4th but launch now cancelled due to the continuing effects of the tsunami.
