As manuals go – that is well laid out. I think I had better be selling some things soon. 🙂

I vote for a Leica M mount interchangeable lens version of this. Of course they will introduce that shortly after I give up and buy the Xl00.

    Thanks very much!

Even the manual has a retro look and feel. I’ve tried to imagine how I could get away with just one focal length, but I can’t. I have had fixed focal length cameras before, or interchangable lens 35mm cameras with only a 50mm lens. It was frustrating to be held to one focal length. On many occasions, you cannot merely move rorward or step back.

50mm is quite limiting, but 35mm equivalent is very fine.
You can always bring big gun to zoo and make another batch of zoo “wild life” for flickr, but for normal photographer it is more then enough. would i want wider? Maybe, but wider means more distortion and you can always sweep panorama for most wide shots and get higher res in result.

Amazing how the PDF was formatted to fit perfectly on my iPad… neat. Now I just need the camera

Very well done manual. In general, this looks like a very well thought-out camera, a labor of love. Having used rangefinders throughout the ’60’s and ’70’s it brings back a lot of memories. We’ll see what the future brings.
