Adobe CS5.5 price going up on April 27th?

PhotographyBay reported that the price of the newly announced Adobe CS5.5 could be going up on April 27th. If you have purchased the previous version CS5 on or after March 10th, 2011 you will be eligible for a free upgrade to CS5.5. That also means that if you buy CS5 by April 27, you can avoid the rumored price increase. Check all available CS5 purchase options on Amazon.

  • I’m still using CS3. The improvements I’ve seen to date haven’t justified spending for a whole new package, but then this is not my job.

  • PS/ Thanks for the tip, Admin. This should save a few of us some money.

You can see all the new pricing here. Looks like CS5 went up $50

In Photoshop, is there any difference between 5.0 and 5.5? I believe only other CS products got new features, but not Photoshop. So an assumed price increase would only be relevant for those who are not owning PS CS5 right now.

The update means that it is like buying Service pack 1 of windows 7 now, so you dont have to redo the entire update to SP1 as well, or at least, used to work like that. And biggest change is the switch from Acrobat 9 to Acrobat X.
