The price of the Samyang T-S 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC tilt-shift lens revealed in Russia

Samyang Russia published the price of the 24mm 1:3.5 ED AS UMC tilt-shift lens on their website: 34,090 rubles (around $1,100). For reference: the PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED costs $1,999, the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II sells for $1,949. The Samyang T-S 24mm f/3.5 lens is expected to be released in March, 2013.

Update: the lens is listed for €699.90 in Slovenia.

        So? It’s Samyang, they’re optics are great but for cheap, but this right here better be the “full price” and shops would discount to a regular price of say, $850, I was hoping for around that as well. But hey, it’s not a bad product if I can’t afford it, this will surely be a lens to look forward to

            Far lower. Russian prices for newcomer products usually are 20-25% higher then US.

          If it’s a German lens maker, the lenses don’t have to be great and still people will pay a lot more.

      Is the word “Slovenly” related to Slovenia?? By the way, how do the Russians and Slovs have this first..? I heard that Samyang had quality control issues with their production. Are they putting out the first batches in test markets?
