The latest 4/3 lens patents from Olympus, Sigma and Konica Minolta

Few new lens patents for 4/3 cameras:

Olympus 15mm F2 lens patent
Olympus filed patents for 15mm f/2, 17mm f/1.8 and 17mm f/2.8 pancake lenses for 4/3 sensors.

Sigma 75mm F1.8 lens patent
Sigma filed a patent for 75mm f/1.8 lens (150mm equivalent) for 4/3 sensors.

KonicaMinolta 9-18mm F3.5-4.5 lens patent
Konica Minolta filed a patent for a 9-18mm f/3.5-4.5 lens (18-35mm equivalent) for 4/3 sensors.

    Man, I sure would love a 12-60mm f/4 lens for m4/3. I hope we get one of these soon… and weather-sealed too, please.

    The patent filed by Sigma for a 75mm f/1.8 lens is that of Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8, the optical formula of which was subcontracted to Sigma by Olympus.

    Compare the Olympus lens’s diagram (below) with that of the patent (above).
