The rumored new Tamron lens that will be announced on November 7th will be a replacement for the current 200-500mm f/5-6.3 ($949). Next week Tamron will only announce the development of the lens, the official release and the pricing will revealed in 2014 (probably in Q4). The new lens will have an increased zoom range (150-500mm?) and will feature Vibration Compensation (VC) technology (the current 200-500mm doesn't have VC). Tamron already filed a patent for a 150-600mm f/5-6.3 lens.
