The new Sony ILCE-QX1: an APS-C based camera “compatible with E-mount lenses”

A listing on the Chinese website zol.com (screenshot above) indicates that the upcoming Sony ILCE-QX1 will be an APS-C based camera "compatible with E-mount lenses". The QX1 was also described as "Digital camera / Interchangeable lens digital camera" in a recent trademark filing. The interesting part here is that the QX product line (Sony QX10 and QX100) are lens camera modules that attach to a smart phone and not an ILC (interchangeable lens camera). It seems that Sony is coming up with a E-mount module that attaches to a smart phone.

The official announcement is expected on September 3rd:
